Congratulations to the JMHS Marching Ensemble for their 2 outstanding performances at the BOA Mid-Atlantic Regional on October 9.
JMHS was 1st place in Class 4A in the preliminary competition, receiving caption awards for Music, Visual, and Effect. JMHS had the highest Music score of the preliminary competition.
JMHS was named the 4th place finalist in the evening completion. This is an awesome result for the regional level of completion - it continues a 7 year period that JMHS has been placed in the top-5 of all of the regionals is has competed in.
Thank You to all of the parents that volunteered to help make this event a success. The chaperones and uniform volunteers made the day smooth and coordinated for the students, and the equipment and transportation volunteers did a spectacular job packing, moving and assembling the equipment for the show with the added challenge of trying to find trucks in a strained supply chain. A special thank you to John Toloczko and his crew for getting the CO2 cannons operational for the weekend - totally awesome!
Onward to VBODA assessment and the VMBC State Championships!
